Malaria & Multi-Faith Action: A Calling for Our Generation

Malaria, a preventable and treatable disease, kills nearly 1 million people every year. This interactive presentation explained what malaria is, why it is still a problem, and why multi-faith action is needed to fight it. Avi Smolen and Randa Kuziez, Faiths Act Fellows with the Tony Blair Faith Foundation, shared their experiences in Africa, the reason that their faiths compel them to serve, and explained how college students can get involved. Tuesday, Nov. 10, 7:00pm at the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs (3307 M St., Suite 200). Refreshments were served.
